Model Raceboats
Hi all.
I have just uploaded my new website showing all the model boats I made back nearly 20 years ago.
I am thinking about setting this up again and therefore looking to see if anyone is interested in a model for themselves of their own boat or a favorite race boat from the past.
Anyway interested in your comments, many thanks.

Hi Hydrostream,
Many thanks for the reply.
The cost is something that is very hard to work out. I used to do them in my spare time and took about 4 months to complete. Back then 20 years ago I charged £250.
What boat are you looking at having a model of? I can then see how long it would take etc.
If you want to email me at the address on the site we can chat further.

Wow! Amazing work.
The Stapley Cat >> http://www.raceboatmodels.co.uk/manx_cat.html was built for me and first raced under the name of Ciao!
I bet Ray & Jon built the raceboat quicker than it took you to put the model together!

Hi Ciao,
Thanks and I must admit that I didn't know the boat had a previous owner, do you have any photos?

We sold the boat to Miles Jennings who renamed her "A Little Moore Pussy", who then sold the boat to Laurence Bellamy.

Fantastic work.
Interesting boat with 1.3 litre inboard, how did that work?

Not very well.
Two Norton wankel rotay bike motors bolted together, running through a shaft (I would say surface drive, but the shaft angle, and prop depth weren't really what you usually think of as surface)
Lawrence Bellamy will tell more, he drove it. Loads of power compared to other 1.3's, but struggled to get it all to come together.
Also, by far the most gorgeous navigator in offshore

Mum & I had this made for Vee and cannot stress how amazing and special these models are. It's carved from solid Mahogany and is just stunning from every angle.
Phil Morris you are special talent thank you.

Excellent work! (Did he put the ash tray inside the cockpit)?
Gareth, you also have a very special talent - Some of us old buggers love seeing you rag Microlink Fury through the largest of seas.
