Can anyone let me know the whereabouts & recent history of this boat?

A client of mine used to own her & would be grateful for info etc. He took part in Cowes Torquay in 1970 I think she was called Ford Sport back then?

I saw her back in the summer on the River Medway at Rochester heading towards Maidstone.

Seven O Seven is moored on The River Medway in Kent at Medway Bridge Marina. She frequently goes up and down the river and is certainly a sight to see (and hear!). Hope that helps.

She runs 300hp Fords and has wider spray rails for more lift.

One of only 4 surviviing aft cockpit Huntsman 31's, the others are Fortissimo formerly Lady A, Spica 630 and Floating Charge.

These 4 and the wooden top Spearfish in my mind are the very best of Fairey Boats.

This hull is the boat that the legendary seakeeping of the Fairey boat is built on, the earlier smaller boats are a very wet ride...as me how I know....

my family had an aft cockpit 31,excellent boat,sold it in the early 80s, it went to guernsey,boat was called ginn fizz i think

I thought all the 31's had the aft cockpit, whereas the 28's didn't.

There was one 28 built with an aft cabin, but not by Fairey, was added later.

Fairey did offer a detachable aft cabin for the 28, much like the hard top on the Merc SL, I dont believe any were built or sold but I do have a artists impression on an advert somewhere which only recently came to light form Charles Lawrence.

Of the 32 H31's built, 30 had cabins and 6 were aft cockpit. H31 hull became the mould for the Spearfish.

A friend of mine has his boat moored just behind 707 at Medway Bridge Marina and I can assure you that the boat looks in great condition, a tribute to the owner, its kept very clean. You cant walk past it without having a look!

Sorry if this is a bit too late to reply but 707 Is owned by my father and uncle at this present time. Was previously owned by my granddad who purchased it some time ago off the person who owned the boat in the photo that 'Brambles' posted. To restore it, so it resembles its image from the race around Britain.

The engines where rebuilt around 11 years ago maybe? not sure how much power they produce but we sure like to max her out in the open water

There is still some touching up to do, a bit of wood work, maybe a bit of painting (Is what I've heard my dad and uncle talk about) We try to work on 707 just before summer so it can be put in the water around mid to end of summer, when the pontoon starts to free up a bit.

Regardless of what you might hear we do not speed in restricted zones, she just creates allot of wake

I can not confirm where we keep 707 as I don't have their consent to post that information in this forum because I am writing this early in the morning.
