Born too late again Jonny.
Came across this whilst trawling for other things.
As well as record breakers and speedboat races,a model of the Titanic was sunk in the Lido for the Kenny Moore film `A Night to Remember`.
On a tacky note,apparently the Swiss have had made an inflatable Titanic,inclined at 45degrees to the horizontal to represent the sinking,and punters can board the stern and slide down the deck.
