Do I remember that ???

We had a great time decalling the boats with anagrams of 'Manx ' and Marathon, Rothmans etc . The dinner was unforgettable withthe air thick with bread rolls and Heavies moving to keep things under control !

It was just one Fuzzy Haze , Man ,. like Wow! ( My Psychedelic Period )

1972 , a great time to be racing in exalted company .

Hotel wrecking never seemed the same since !

Mike

Thanks for posting that.

I see they changed the date from 16th Sept to fit in between the Needles and CTC,and after all that the Liverpool Dock strike scuppered the CI & II fleet going to IOM,so AEROMARINE IX,BLACK TORNADO & FINO were left stranded.
The we Roman,Balestrieri must have been right jarred off with the dockers.Pity he didn`t have the giant Don Pruett as his minder to fight his case.
