Startboat Norwegian GP '99
Not really historic but I hope someone is able to help. I am looking for pictures and information on the boat that acted as the start boat in Arendal in 1999.
It was a monohull, approximately 38', full canopy (4 seats?), surface drives, red, Alfa Romeo logo and lettering on the sides. Looks like a former racer or interceptor.
Any ideas

I was there, but can`t remember... My best guess is one of Ugland`s old racers. I`ll try to find out.

Looks very Buzzi to me. Especially in the forefoot.

I was going to say the same, but most Buzzi's have more of a blunt nose, with anti stuff chines or wedge shape. Could be someones reincarnation of a buzzi design. Still a nice boat, not sure about the dune buggy rails though!

Not a Buzzi hull. Three strakes per side running parallel to the keel, different steps, different deck hardware etc.. Deck design reminds of Paolo Martin who did a lot for Buzzi though.

So it seems it was built by Nordkapp, 44' long, twin 750hp SEATEK.
Never heard that they have ever built such a large boat
