Nice pics! Those are postcards so it is likely that the series continues with other ...
Igauana was the prototype of a series of boats of 32 'with the hull derived directly from the Cary/Cigarette 32' and built under license by the Italian shipyard Intermarine in 1972.

Nigel, one in the middle at the top, Nauty Bye was the former Boss O'Nova III that Wishnick drove some races in USA and Bahamas 500 in his triumphant year 1971.

They were on sale on ebay. Note the #4 for the Boss O'Nova II 32' in the start of the Hennessy-Key West November 13 1971.
Probably due to the fact that his usual # 1 for Wishnick in that year was already occupied by the recent winner of the APBA Championship Bob Magoon.
In the foreground the future winner of the race, Roger Hanks in his first Blonde.
Thanks for sharing!

Marco: indeed they were on ebay; and I've bought them......
One day we should make a book focused on these boats.
Here some more!

I hope so. I'm working on a challenging chapter, the designs of the profiles of these hulls.

The photo in the middle is the start of the Bahamas 500 of 1971, while the first should be the one of 1972.
Here are some examples at the various stages of processing.
Opinions and criticisms are welcome!

I agree.. fantastic thread.
These really were the quintessential Class 1 boats of the seventies!
Do we know how many are left and any likely to run or race again?
I only know of KAM lll / I like it Too- in Norway and Dirty Pearl ex Slapshot in USA.
Where are the other thirty sixes??
.

A guy in the US has one of the Dry Martini hulls that was converted ( ) to a cabin cruiser. He has stripped it ready to restore but got no further - he's trying to sell it. Another is also a static billboard for the Primatist boatyard in Italy.

Hi Phil,I have yet to perfect the bottom red of the name but I took it from a nice picture of Graham where the boat was taken almost perfectly longitudinal and then I re-colored it with patience and time.
If you want I can send you the detail.

Here three of that beauty boat. The two in colours are frames from a video of the US season in 1976 when the boat was driven by the Aussie Arnold Glass.
