Hi cliff we went out on qualify race on sat it was a rough race and we kicked ass, unfortunately giving us a huge handicap of over 2 extra laps over everyone else, dan and Sam did really well and came in second on sat also giving them a large handicap on today's race which was really calm and they couldn't make up their time against higher powered boats, we had electrical problems as we pulled off the start and had to retire, gonna have to wait till June 3rd for the next race, hope the hols are going well

Sadly with the freak weather of rough as hell one moment and flat the next they didn't fare well in the first proper race, coming in 6th iirc. That said, this is why the handicap changes with every race. Now we've had both ends of the weather spectrum it'll all start to even out. It is still a bran new system.
It'd be lovely to do a whole bunch of qualifiers before the start of the championship but we don't have time.
The most important thing is that we had an amazing turnout of 13 boats to the first race if the season, everyone had an absolute blast and went home grinning from ear to ear! Dan was sold and will be back for the rest, that's for sure!
I'll try to get pics and the video up as soon as poss, but have to catch up on a lot of work first!!
Cheers, James
