I know that 20 fairly well. Was Greg Bassams for some years (succesfully) and then a fella by the name of Alan Fielding had it (think he was Capot Wraps for Sportsboat & Rib readers). He purchased a Cyclone 21 this season.

I last see Rock Solid around July time; awaiting that Mariner.......Its led a very hard life, although it would have had the best of everything when new. It may be worth a look.

I tried to but its original replacement a Ring 20D of the same name

Are you saying that because you know the boat, and know it 'not' to be Balsa/Aramat?

Alot of people seem to think their Phantoms are kevlar, I guess its because you can see the cross weave of the fibre glass under the gelcoat, I haven't ever really noticed this on other boats (not seen many other boats upclose however). Is it because Phantoms have a thin layer of gel coat or because other boats use the random criss crossy all over the shop fibre glass matting

I don't know alot about hull construction so if this all sounds like bollox please be polite when telling me, thank you
