That is the first Phantom 25' ever built in 1981. Was built for Bruce Nash who used it for a successful Round Britain record attempt. (Round the top too).

The boat was originally called London & Manchester & was rigged by Eric Smillie.

Eric & Ed Williams Hawke co drove the boat with Nash for the attempt.

It competed once in National racing as London & Manchester winning 3D & class 3 overall in Fowey, Cornwall. Bruce Nash moved to the US & the boat was sold & renamed Property Growth Assurance.

The picture of "Bentleys oyster bar" on this site shows it as a P26 Savak/tandem hull, so that is two hulls that say 26ft !

Anybody have any idea if Bentley is still around!

Always liked the tandem Phantoms Simon, remember Phantom Whistler, Paul Hamills 21 with the 235 OMC, and then Andy Chambers had his tandem 21 before moving up to the P25 and Flash.

Ahhhhh those were the days, "whats that nurse is it time for my nap"

The 26 (and 27) were stretched 23's (P25 predecessor) and were one offs, as in, I don't think a production mould existed for those specials.

I think the mk 1 P23 took some driving.

I loved the look of that 27 ceilidh. Soooo much foredeck. Looked so slick. Wonder what ever happened to it. Left to rot in some field no doubt
