I think its the way forward. Put alot of thought into how you control bow steer. Some craft like that carry a huge bulge under the bottom, that seems to go lower than the rest of the hull. Others seem to have massive outside chines. Others jet drives.

When the gun fails or they are out of ammo, the bow is probably useful for ramming the enemy’s boats
It’s a striking looking design, but I think don’t it will be of much use, rather than in special areas, in relatively sheltered waters, with relatively short waves. Offshore in a big following sea it would be interesting. The combination of a stepped hull and this extreme bow look challenging to me. Would be interesting to see some more pictures of it.
I don’t know how the VSV performed in a following sea?
