OK this is getting silly - firstly the nearest MackieD's is Plymouth which is 40 minutes away, and they don't deliver!

Secondly the puppy wakes up at 7.30, therefore so do I!

I will read and inwardly digest the thread that Kitten has kindly pointed out.

Ok I have read the other Allhallows thread now and understand this comment is borne out of frustration and nothing to do with the integrity or otherwise of the boat Kitten built, but rather the non approval by the RYA and organising club of the engine capacity versus the boat length.

Is that right?

Is that right?
Only club/venue non approval not RYA.
Experimental class rules submitted and events planned for 2009, however, nothing in writing saying this set up or similar i.e. not restricted to just P19s,
is un-safe.
I understand venue limitations and too aplaud/respect their application, I think its just that when you see other combination you tend to wonder thats all.

Thank you to everyone who participated, both competitors and officials and a special mention to all those competitors who were racing for the first time, they all drove extremely well!

Allhallows

I came to watch your event at Allhallows and was impressed by the turnout, but feel the real race I saw was between the B class boats (although no mention of this race seems to be on here?!) The first 2 boats 010 and B06 had a fantastic battle for the whole race swapping positions a couple of times and was eventually won by 010 which I understand is a UK Formula Future race boat, not an OCR boat. The driver Jake Swann, I am told has won numerous national titles and certainly earned his 1st place during the rough conditions on Sunday. The A class boats seemed to spread out very quickly and the cat just looked like it was out for a Sunday drive (no pun intended). Thanks for a lovely day out!

1) Blu-ee streaks away from the pack at the start

2) looking good

3) But Mr Gibson was looking for a fight!

4) A well deserved victory for Jeremy G in A19 and an oustanding performance with just 130hp, winning by a country mile.

5 & 6) Steve Baker joined us to inspect a few of his products and chew the fat.

After checking the HIN on Barrie Williams's 1993 P16, he declared the warranty 'lapsed'.

Why is it that when Jake Swann's name is mentioned in threads the person posting it seems always to be annonimous. It's unfortunate that Jake didn't get mentioned, but if you actually look at the people doing the posts, they are mainly offshore people disscussing offshore boats. Jake had two options at Allhallows knowing his 150 couldn't race, 1 avoid the whole weekend or 2 Do exactly what he did, turn up with a boat that he could race, support AYC, and go out and win his class. Well done Jake, good luck with the 150, and maybe next year you'll be able to run it.

Thanks for that Claire, Was a good fun weekend looking forward to the next outing - dunno when that will be for the Midas as my home jobbing list is huge. Think Adam & I will be adding a short course prop to the inventory for sure. Be nice to all meet up for Cowes.
