BPM Volcanoes were quite common in Italian ski racing boats based at or near Lake Como, for example Ray Bryants black Abbate. Believe they were Chevy based and in that application were supercharged.

I believe that Abbate comfortably topped 100mph. Since Ray Bryants sad death I think it has sat in an Italian museum.

Abatte 40'
Boat was located in the boatyard in Exmouth next to the bus station. Nice looking boat.
Had a look at it last year. It has been sat there for a couple of years. Hull looked to be in pretty good condition. Engines & surface drives were fitted. Didn't get to see inside.
Needed some TLC to get it seaworthy.
There was a second similar boat moored in Exmouth harbour (yellow & white).
