Those engines are BPM V12 12 litre (Italian build)

Looks like a Italian boat, cause these engines are rare.

There is a 36 Apache laying in Holland now for maintanance by a friend of me,its a black one with 2x 800 sc mercruisers # 3A speedmasters, she ,s called ,,Bull Roar and belongs to a American owner,it sits on a 100 ft feadship as a tender for playing around.

I will ask him for a few shots into the engine room.
The work is done in Holland because my friend is doing the maintainance since new ,he,s in the US for a couple months a year, and he runs a marine company in Holland too .
The owner usually drive the big Feadship From FL to Monaco ,and put the Apache on dry land ,and my friend towed it to Holland for the work to be done .

Indeed, as far as I know, the 41 Apache is a stretched Cig 39 hull.

This boat is not in Europe....but I had an opportunity to throttle it last weekend as the pace boat at the race in Point Pleasant.

This was the last 47 Apache that Bobby Saccenti raced......it raced and won in Atlantic City in 10 foot waves and then was shipped to Michigan for the next race......BUT Kramer was arrested and the Feds took the boat and stored it at Cape Kennedy (the Space Center) for a number of years.

The new owner is keeping it in pristine condition....it was quite a rush after all these years.

I was asked to come to the race along with some old friends and competitors. We were honored as "The Legends of Offshore"...that means they couldn't find anyone else alive.

Left to right:

Bobby Saccenti of Apache fame, Rocky Aoki of Benihana fame, John Bochis of Crazy Greek fame, me, Charlie McCarthy and my Top Banana and Billy Martin of Bounty Hunter Fame. Also honored but not pictured here was Rich Luhrs and Jerry Gilbreath.

No, unless you count an outboard pontoon boat that he uses on his lake in front of his weekend house in upstate NY.

It was great being with all those guys again....it was just like the last time we met, was the previous month at the last race......it didn't seem like that much time had passed....unless our physical appearance gives us away.

I find that amazing. There's quite a few ex racers here, who took it all very seriously, for many years, but once they stopped racing they don't appear interested in the least....most odd, you'd think if they were interested enough to get involved (and blow all that cash) it would be in their blood, and hearts forever.

I think in Rocky's case, his physical injuries added up over the years, between offshore racing and his hot air baloon trip over the Pacific....his body said enough is enough.

As for me, I would race again tom'w if I had the chance......never does get out of your blood, I agree.
