Australia

Thanks to the fantastic success of the New Zealand thread I thought I would ask the same question about OZ?

We arrive in Sydney on the 24th of March, and leave on the 3rd of April. I have friends in Sydney and a cousin in Brisbane - not sure if I'll get up to see her (or is it down?), but if anyone has any must see type recommendations anywhere I'll see if we can fit them in!

Thanks,

Mate, if there is one touristy thing to do it's book a bridge climb, you WILL love it.
Ask me nicely and I'll take you for a fang around the harbour on the 21, it is the best place you could ever want to ski.
If your with a lady then a shopping trip into CBD, George St and QVB building is sure to impress, if scenery is your thing then Blue Mountains and surrounding area will blow you away.
Motorsport, book yourself a few hotlaps around Eastern Creek in a V8 Supercar
Mate, up to Brissy or Goldcoast and you will gain 5-10c and you can do theme parks if you have kids, Seaworld, Dreamworld, Wet n Wild, White Water World (lots of worlds).
If your into bikes hire a sports and do the twisties or a Harley and cruise the countryside.
You will be spoilt for choice.
Start your planning.

get out on the reef from Cairnes, I thought it was unreal mate. Then get a good spot for new year to watch the fire works. I got lucky and watched them from a penthouse over looking the bridge, not only that all the public transport was free on NYE-result!!
Also done a 5 day tour out in the bush which was a bit of 4x4ing, sleeeping in the swags etc etc
! It was all great Cookee!

Hi Damon,

Just going with the girlfriend - whilst we're in NZ I have to persuade her to take the trip from Auckland to Wellington so that I can race a boat, so I think it will be her turn to do something nice, so the shopping trip sounds good!

A fang around the harbour sounds fun, but I have no clue what you're talking about!

I have a Holden Ute - 5.7litre and 400hp, so a few laps round Eastern Creek sounds like fun as well!

Might go to Brissy to see my cousin, and a Harley cruise sounds like fun as well - I think I might have to came back to do everything!
