Only a doubt in me: I think that the Peter Stuyvesant-Carlsberg,was not the former Flap-Jack-Toleman Group, but a second 38' that Toleman bought from Aoki's Benihana in 1982.
Look the windscreen, are the same, and the Toleman Group had the exhausts two on each side, instead the Peter Stuyvesant-Carlsberg that had their on the back, like the Benihana.
Maybe was made modifications,on the Toleman Group after the 1980 season, adding a windscreen and changed the positions of the exhausts?
You can see the comparisons on the pictures that I posted some posts above.

The Toleman boat was re-rigged in about 1983, it was fitted with the windscreen and transom exhausts

Perfect.
Thank you PJC!
Was my doubt because the actually german owner,Thork Thomas wrote to me it was the former Benihana-Toleman Group.
But the Benihana Bertram 38'run in Japan until 1983,and the re-rigged with windscreen and new transom exhaust Toleman's Bertram raced in 1982 exactly, like this picture that came from a 1982 magazine show.

Right examination,it was the Benihana that I wrote above.
it change the colours in 1978.
The second pic is the first Bertram 38' of history. "Whittaker Moppie" in 1974 with Sammy James and Jack Stuteville.
All two pics camo from Searace.

That Cig 36 Dry Martini shot is perhaps the most famous racing photo ever. Or is it?! I love it. Anyone disagree? Maybe the near vertical shot of The Cigarette is more famous? Of course your reply could be along the lines of Who gives a f*ck!

I think that the near vertical The Cigarette pic is the most famous in absolute. But the Dry in flying is little bit second!

I think you'll find that this 40' Cigarette became Limit Up. It has the Headlamps which had been fitted for the Miami-Nassau Race when Bob Magoon had it. LittleNige might be able to confirm this or not.

Smitty who trottled for Ted Toleman also throttled the Benihana Bertram, when we re-rigged the Toleman boat the old fairing was replaced with a screen and new dashboard, I think we may have also changed it from a two person bolster to three person layout

Going by the colour scheme I think you are spot on. I think this became UFO II and raced at Cowes in 1974. I think the crew were Tim Powell, Willie Meyers and Norman Barclay. Not 100% sure if it became the 40' Limit Up but it's more than likely given the crew.

You said right Nigel!
Was US1 of Magoon in 1974,then became Ufo in 1975 and Limit Up for Doxford first European season in 1976.
Then was recoloured in brown in 1977-78 for Powell's and Meyers Limit Up.

We need to capture some of these amazing shots in the gallery.
Maybe a "Big air" or Favourites in the history section.
