As a treat I took the misses and some friends to see the Redbull Air Race, bloody fantastic, only downer was the tube getting there, worse than rush hour.

I went on the Sunday for the race and I must say what a well run event it was, the flying was awsome by both the stunt helicoptors ( didn't know they could fly upside down ) and the racers themselves either immensly talanted or kamakazi, but worth the effort in going to see.

GAV,S doing fine, settled into life down under well, got a nice home and a very good job, I have to be carefull about what i say about him cos he still looks into BM.
We hope to spend a fair amount of time out there in the future as I will have completed my obligation to the new owners of BBMS by January 09 and hope to have summers in both countrys although the winter there is about as good as our summer this year, but due to age can only get 6 month visitors visa without loads of paperwork and guarrantors, but if this country continues to decline the way it is I could well make the effort.

Hi Carl, I sold Footloose unfinished about two years ago and part of the deal was to fit the engine and drive, when we tested on a short squirt up the river we were pulling 52mph on gps, that really pissed me off as I couldn't get out of the sale. I think with a better prop it would have been faster, not bad for an old race Hunton 23 with a 240 oil burner.
