Blackpool to Belfast on a jetski
Thought I'd give it a mention that a friend of mine completed a round trip in a day of over 250 miles from Blackpool to Belfast on a Yamaha jetski in aid to raise money for cancer research, accompanied by 2 support boats and a crew of 4 we made it in around 15 hours.
We set off at 4.30(ish)am in good conditions of the morning tide taking in the IOM and a refuel at sea then onto Ireland,Steve the lad othe ski was pretty done in 10 miles off Ireland but found the will to continue where we finally arrived in Belfast harbour.refuel again and a bit of food then set off again,Steve was struggling by the IOM and just taking in the waves and spray on auto pilot probably wishing he was anywhere else but out there!finally making it back to a crowd that had gathered to meet us,Steve was f@@ked by now!
Very tough challenge
Well done Steve "maverick" rathbone
