Was the right way up so long as I was near it - before I turned away with my tail between my legs.

(But I'm very pleased and relieved to hear it was the race boat.)

Not sure if it did that often but we helped tow a Bladerunner in, on what I think was its first race outing, the wrong way up. Lorne was there and wasn't best pleased!

Yip it was Mike Deacon and I who helped bring it to Salterns.

My mate and Tony Jenvey were sat on the hull discussing the finer points of when it let go!

I think it was supposed to run in the Europeans a week or two later.

Did have some pictures somewhere.

I was stood on the quayside that day, next to Ian Cutler and his young son Thor, also there was Lorne Campbel and Chris Lewis.

As they were trying to 'right' the boat with the crane, Thor said, in that rather loud yet innocent kiddy voice that all could hear, " Daddy, why is that boat upside down?", Ian replied and pointed to Lorne, " I don't know Thor, you'll have to go and ask that man over there!"

nearly pissed myself!

Still, i'm sure a few people did well out of it!

My quote, while we watched the diver messing around was, "Wouldn't want to be the owner"

"Well I'm the designer " and off stormed Lorne!
