Bearing in mind there is nothing 'new' under the sun ...
To buy try - Abebooks.com or Amazon

High Speed Small Craft - Peter du Cane
Even ignoring the maths there are some important boating facts that can be picked up here and nowhere else. (E.g: The faster a hull travels the more it is trying to drop it's bow and gets to a no faster barrier - until you change the all important 'rocker' and ...).

Dhows to Deltas - Sonny Levi
A great title! This is Mannerfelt before Mannerfelt.

Projettarie per Vincerre - Fabio Buzzi
Somewhat scarce maybe an understatement and best with English translation supplement. When others are thinking about it, Fabio is writing about having done it.

Speedboat - Don Fostle
There is nothing new and this proves it.

Performance Boat Books

These are like gold dust.Du Cane`s book is a notable one,but the real classic is one called `Naval Architecture of Planing Hulls` by Lindsay Lord, published by Cornell Press. It`s an old American book, but if you ever see it,grab it.That and Du Cane`s book are the two both Lorne Campbell and myself used to seek out when we were stuying Naval Architecture as apprentices.
A lot of papers on performance boating can be heavy going, but Lindsay Lord`s book is packed with formulae that can easily be understood.

Several years ago even the powerboat mags of the day had articles written by Bill Maloney,John Teale etc,but you can`t beat the guy who just goes out and builds em and learns by his mistakes.

If you know which book you want, try using www.bookfinder.com
It does exactly what it says on the tin.
