I like some of this graphics, but not keen on the idea of the number in the gel…

Looking forward to seeing the build, Swipes is a great boat

Paul, number will not be made in gel. This is just a idea of what it should look like

a3 is Also best for me Cpt. Chaos
Just ordered Gel Coats, Glass Fabircs, Resin etc.
Starting building next week.
Black/Orange stripes will be painted

Just cant wait to put first layer of gelcoat into the mould

Do any of you guys have any experionce in adding weight to boat for racing?

Here are my thought:
Boat will probably weight around 2000-2200kg complete with interior and O/B engines. My boat will mainly be used as pleasure boat cause here in Poland we don't have racing for boat like these. But still I would like to race some day on it.
In Europe only options for boats like these are marathon races
Weighting around 2000+ kg it is great for Marathon D class. Engine options would be twin Yamaha F250 (older ones) or Mercury 250XB.
I was thinking about having twin 300XS or even 350 Verados
It would make really fast pleasure boat but it would have go into Marathon C class but it will be to light.

Do you have any ideas how to add like 500kg for racing so I could have light pleasure boat and heavier for racing ?

Although we are using very traditional materials to build the boat we've decided to vacuum bagged transom.

Why are you wetting out such a big area? looks like a recipe for disaster, Is that the normal way boatbuilders do it?

It depends how many guys working with the boat. We've got 4 to 5 laminators at once so each of us have less than 2 square meters to laminate
