send me a PM with ur real name & postal detail & I will photocopy the 1972 RYA rule book & post it to you, ( I have a 1970 Class IV rule book but our boats dont fall into that class )
think you gave it to me before & I cant find it now, I may have put it into the bin after using it, thats what I usually do.

I think your boat is more suited to the classic boat rally and race events, such as the annual summer event held in Cardiff Bay. It attracts a large contingent of Tremletts and ChrisCrafts and enjoys a large, enthusiastic audience.
To be brutally honest, the technical abilities of modern racecraft would, unless it was extraordinarily rough and your boat was extraordinarily robust, render your Tremlett uncompetitive, which might be discourteous to such a fine craft.
There is an active classic racing club in Ireland, which you can access via 'Tremlett' on Boatmad. Good Luck and Welcome.

do they race in cardiff or just play at racing
i think that is the way to go
even though the tremlett is robust and it has a very good johnson 115 v4 race engine, i would think that there is a need to preserve as well as play race

only play at Cardiff.....last race we had was at Windermere just before the speed limit thing.....we got 1 day licence, it was great fun, some talk in the "club" to try to get racing up & going.

Something really has to be done where there are good and logical classes and far fewer of them in this country. Neither OCR or offshore has enough competitors to put on a decent show and prosper.
We just have so many classes that are far too close.

it is beginning to seem to me that these powerboat race meets with all these different clubs, is starting to look like the tv does today
there are very many channels on many stations showing second rate programmes. it was nice and simple and gathered bigger crowds to the box when the channels were few.
this thought is reminding me a lot about these clubs and events of different people in different parts of the country, that only a few watch what is actually second rate racing to what can be achieved if everyone joined forces and put on a few spectacular races.
just for instance if 2 clubs/organisations, one in the north and one in the south had a yearly set of races each in their respective areas, culminating into a series finale set in each others back yards (so to speak)
that way there would be more boats more races and best of all more spectators.
that surely can only be a good thing
how do others feel

i'm sorry, but can you please explain !!!!!
all i am trying to do is to find a local club which does historic racing for class 3 boats, as i have one which i have tried to sell, but with no offers thought i would try and see if i can do something with it, rather than let in fade away into sawdust.
i know not what a tbc is or was
are you sure you are not mistaking me !!!!

good day tremlett 15
many thanks for the information sent to me, i recieved it this morning, will look in detail later, someone sent a PM last night stating that my little old boat is really not eligible for this type of racing due to age and a few other things, all i want is to be able to have a little racing jaunt over the year with a few like minded souls and enjoy it all for what it is
REAL OLD FASHIONED seat of the pants racing, just for the thrill and enjoyment, come on there must be at least a few other people like me !!!!!!
