Can I beg to differ?
UKFFORC adult class has just finished the season with 9 boats on the start line. The E1500 class started in 2009 as an experimental class with just 3 boats. This had doubled by the start of the 2010 season to 6 boats. 2011 will see 10 E1500 start the season along with 3 E900. Even the junior classes are still thrithing with 8 boats confirmed for the 2010 season. Prospering definately!
We go to an event with over 20 boats - does that not count as a decent show?

How many of the 20 boats belong, openly (or covertly) to the promoter, Dennis Swann?

REAL OLD FASHIONED seat of the pants racing, just for the thrill and enjoyment, come on there must be at least a few other people like me !!!!!!

the info I sent you would be for the "old" Class 3 offshore racing which ur boat would comply with / been built to, the current Class 3 would be totally different...........

If it is competition you are after mate, I don't think there is a class for what you have, but you can have a good time at the meets and poker runs that go on.
I can not recommend them enough. Hope this helps.

hi renegade
no, i don't want real competition
just friendly rivalry fun, you know, the things you get up to at weekends
just a pure out and out laugh, just as it used to be but without the competition element
and please can you explain a POKER run

Then a poker run is EXACTLY what you want, you have 5 destinations to get to and at these you have a boat waiting, there you pick a sealed envelope with a playing card in, at the evening party you play your poker hands and could win the pot, it's not all about speed just a good blast out with like minded people. We have all different types of boats at these. They really are fantastic and everyone has the same odds! All info will be posted here on boatmad and drivers powerboat club also has a facebook page too. Come down to the next meeting and get to know everyone.
