Hi Littlenige,
I recognize the attached thumbnails from the original Daily Express Race Programmes. I wondered if you owned them? and what years do you have?

I have the programmes from the Cowes Torquay events from 67, 68, 69, 71, 74, plus some of the later ones from the late 70´s on. The very early ones were not originally mine (in 1967 I was 3!). I will try and scan and post some more when I get the chance. There must be quite a number of people out there with lots of race progs. The 1976 prog I think was part of Powerboat and Waterskiing. The 74 programme is going with me to the grave!!

Thumbs up

I am the owner of Shady Lady and can confirm that she is a Shead.

I have a marine engineer working on a rebiuld of the B18, which considering it's age is in quite good condition, already rebored and skimmed.

Ufo Or Blue Moppie

There is a hull that I think is UFO of it could be Blue Moppie (or it might be neither) as Basildon Boat Museum. I was told they were going to turn it upside down and use it as an unusual roof for a picnic area outside of museum.

Pitsea

That is Blue Moppie, the hull and deck I found thru John Willment's daughter and arranged the donation to the Museum. The arrangement is for it to be restored no matter how long it takes................. God help them if the turn upside down and use it as a gazebo.........
I am b*****y sure Chris Kaye, knows nothing of this as he knows the agreement and spent hours with the police and towing Moppie to Pitsea...............

Any pictures of the 'Old Lady'?

It would also be good to see some as she goes through her rebuild.
