Great video and good looking boat but I confess to knowing nothing about the boat.
Maybe that's becuase I live in Australia and, perhaps not surprisingly, the '"world record" Tampa to Miami or the "world record" Miami Nassau runs didn't get any coverage here. Why IS everything in the USA a world record??
And is that the worst ad you have ever sen? Appallingly written and a tad misleading. I thought "completely rigged" meant ihat engines and drives were actually bolted in.....
Did the boat ever race or was it only used as a record setter?

Yeah , but you do have the Frangle father and son team that that have a handfull of Australian WORLD Records too ,Including the Sydney to Hobart !!!

Yes, the Pfrengels have set quite a few inter city records in Australia but they don't claim them as "world records"!!

now that is a bit of history,looks in good condition to,makes a change to see an old boat still rigged and not of had everything ripped out
