dangerous sport.

it hit home today how dangerous our sport is,i had just finished testing my boat when out of the corner of my eye i so a guy barrel roll his phantom 21.my boat was out of fuel but luckily hutchy had been water testing a phantom 18 so i jumped in that and got the guy out of the water while hutchy who managed to get my boat running on fumes recovered the guys boat.
the guy in the water had no lifejacket on and his killcord had not been fitted. it must have taken 15 minutes to get the guy out of the water, what a struggle.
it must have been his lucky day, apart from a sore arm and a few aches he got off lightly.
when talking to the guy later he said it was the first time he had been out without a lifejacket, i bet its his last.

It's all on that sliding scale of life.
I'd stay in a boat anyday rather that partake in the art of
Tree catching

In the pre power trim days in class Iv (OCR) the only way you could trim was with the co-driver
Quite normal to see guys move to the engine well to get the weight back.

I even witnessed one fker who wounld climb on to the leg and stad holding the motor just above the cav plate.
BALLS big ones i wouldn't, still got all his limbs so I'm told
