Donzi ZR

The pound is slowly getting stronger against the dollar, and there seems to be some good offers on a new/used Donzi zr.
Does anyone have any experience with theses boats? Whats the pro's and cons of importing from the states?
Is Donzi a good reliable make?

Thanks for any help

Tony

Russell Powerboats had a nice Donzi for sale. Dont know if its the model you want but it was mint and full spec. Check out their website.

In 2005 I looked at a 38ZR with 525's in it with the ZR race drives for someone else for P1, and they were cheap then - huge engine compartment big enough to stagger the engines I think, the leisure version probably has a bigger cockpit. From what little I know they appear to have a good reputation and well built for an American boat - some of them aren't built for British waters!

I would consider one, and with the number of lakes in the US you may even find a fresh water example dry stored, which would mean it would be mechanically even better than a salt water used equivalent.

Can I have a ride if you get one?

ZX is a totally different model and I would of thought it would be cheaper to import one than pay £85k for a '98 even if it does have everything on it!
