Drysuits
I'm thinking of getting a drysuit to prolong the skiing season. So whats the crack with the seals, do I go for ankle seals or socks? Am I right in assuming socks are no good for skiing/wakeboarding?

My Skiing/Wakeboarding nobba friends tell me that bare feet are the thing. You want to go for the drysuit with ankle seals and no socks/boots. Ravenspring are good although not cheap.

Me and Cyco have both got Typhoon Racer drysuits with back entry zips and socks rather than ankle seals. Cyes has used his a couple of times when ski ing and as long as you use some fairy liquid then his feet slip into the bindings fine. We went for back entry zips because once in your suit they dont get in the way, however you do need someone else to zip/unzip you. Cost of these suits including wooley bear undersuits are around £300 but well worth it.

Cheers fellas, I'm just a bit worried that the socks would prevent my feet from leaving the bindings easily in a fall and seeing as how I dislocated my knee in a fall last year I dont want a repeat performance.

i also have the typhoon racer. it did have feet on but i changed them to ankle seals because the feet need protecting by something and with ankles you can go bare foot
