Just to update you all - I've just come from Earls court this morning after dropping my boat off for display and doing a quick tour - looks fantastic - credit to the organisers, still a lot to be done - but there appears to be a fair bit of "standage" related to powerboat racing - I think it will be very different to Excel

It's not a new Phantom 21, It's a new Phantom 21 'builder', as in, Cobra ribs.

Nice amount of powerboats there - the Hondas were everywhere! Thunderbolt looked superb, a lot of effort and time has gone into it. Good stand for the RB08 too

Earls Court Thunderbolt

Powerboat village is a strong step in the right direction. Congratualtions to Mike James for the fantastic work and effort that he has put in and all involved for getting Thunderbolt to the show which yesterday was presented and unvieled by being reunited with Tommy Sopwith.
Telstar also looked fantastic - what a brilliant renovation - bench mark for future projects. It would be great to get Surfury there next year.

The classics contrasted and balanced the plethora of P1 and Formula Honda racers, all looking spectacular out of the water. Better over head access is a requirement for the bigger boats to be successful at the exhibition going forward.

Good luck to Mike Lloyd and all involved within the Round Britain and hope the show allows you to attract and pull some much needed sponsorship in. This outcome of this race will be an indication of how the offfshore racing sport will develop in this country going forward.

Earls Court is the spititual home of the Boat Show and contrasts to sterility of Excel lets hope next year some of the "majors" also return
