Evinrude E-Tec 115hp any good?
just wandering if this is a good engine for a 17ft power boat or would a older yam 130 v4 be better? does anyone race with evinrude E-Tec's.
cheers!

Excelent engine for your boat, although not really ideal if you want to race it.
If you want some more info give me a call or pm me.

UK Formula Future Offshore Race Club have 2 classes which race with the Evinrude E-Tec engines - the 150ho and the 90. These modern engines give excellent performance and are green as well giving a modern alternative to some of the old, worn engines around. Have a look at www.ukformulafutureoffshoreraceclub.co.uk for more details.

I think the Yam is slightly lighter !! New ones are still readily available for Racing.
