it has a 7.4 454 mag in it.

anyone know any more about the boat, is it worth the 18k its up for????

it looked more like 14-15ks worth.

cheers

i can imagine when new it was a 40k ish boat, as my ring ranger was.

but i must admit, the extreme did have a better finish than the ring!

now one thing i wanted to knw, is what was its top speed?

adrian kronk thinks it wont be anyfaster than 65. but the guy selling it wreckons he has seen 70. i knw its silly but i am after something that touches 70 or goes past it, but i dont want a phantom or ring 20/21.

please any info would help,

as i am seriously liking it! i have always liked the bigger rings/extremes

cheers

That boat was the 'boat show boat' from Southampton in about '96, and had a 454 Magnum. I think it ran very close to 70, like 68, or 69. It is the one in the 'Extreme '96' video.

It had quite a special upholstery set as it was for the boat show.

Runs outa Lymington I think, and yes, the guy did have a run in my 28 a few years back as he was thinking of going for something a little bigger with twins, but hummed and harred, then missed the boat, as Steve retired and sold the P28 moulds. So when he called to say he was ready to go for it, he was dissapointed.

That Extreme was a nice boat, I still see it out & about on occasion.

thats the one, yep it is in lymington, it was a bugger to find as well lol. yeah i like the upholstery its kind of mental, thing is the yellow leather has faded abit. but im sure that can be brought back up to scratch.

so you all think its a good buy?

because it was that and a scarab 23 special edition, with a 502mpi mag. with irmco steering and exaust system, they wreckon it does nearer 80? and the boat looks like it has just come from the factory, it was amazing, but they guy wants 22k and wont budge!
