Fantastic new Vinyl for boats...
Hi Guys just thought I would share our new info we have found - a wonderful vinyl company that have this new product that can be applied on RIB tubes and Fibreglass to decal your boats however you want - They're called the 'Vinyl Box' in Chandlers Ford - they are so helpful and reasonable! we are just having nine ThunderCats done by them and one hardsided boat - the man is called Craig. Might not be a help to some but if you want your boat done this stuff stays on at speed in water, looks like paint but you can peel it off if you need too.

I'll let you know after this weekend with all the boats graphic-up but our tests show at the moment that it will stay on better - for our inflatable boats vinyl hasn't been an option as it all falls off... so keeping fingers crossed! as it will mean we dont have to destroy our boats with paint that is a devil to get off!

Presumably it will be what we call "Banner Vinyl" its much thinner and more flexible for the inflatables !! The hard boats are Vinyl Wrap like my Avatar !!

Aren't you supposed to have experienced the product before you promote it?

Don't think it's banner vinyl - I've been speaking with Fiona a little on this and it looks like it might be an entirely new type of vinyl. We've tried a whole bunch of different stuff in the past on the thundercats and it's always ended up being high flex paint. However this time it looks like a more friendly solution had been found. This stuff seems to allow for the constant stretching from inflating deflating the cats before/after racing and the hammering the hulls get out there on the water. Samples were done before the weekend and tested on the water on Saturday .....so I'm guessing by Fiona's posting on here, that those tests went well.
