Fast boating and no sailing experience to speak of....never heard of sailing accidents.
Just rent a small sailboat with your wifey if she´s bitching about your boat...or Make it quiet and get a big enough one so she can have her showers etc...
I think people here would agree on anything over 43 feet made if its a fast one.

Fasnet Race ages ago sunk loads of the buggers & consumed most of the south coast rescue services for 36 Hrs.
Simon LeBon was the the famous one that comes to mind in Drum.

Sidney Hobart was a killer a while back as well had a program on that one on Discovery.

At this point I would like to point out I'm not a Windy person, well not it this sense

BlueFIN switch on your sarcasm filter.
My tutor in sailing and my best friends dad died in a sailing accident with his sons in the same boat.
We grew up together since age 7 (friends for 31 yrs now) and we still sail all three together (competiton only)...they are sort of like my brothers.
Still all of us have fast powerboats too and like them a lot.

sarcasm is not in there I have lost mates , buddies in accidents and I refer in the way I remember them - shag, bugger, nobhead the way we all exchanged banter and conversation. The sea can be a very dangerous place and can bite with such grave results even when fully equipped and highly skilled people are involved. The only light note was directed at me from me not anybody else

Does Harry speak English now? Shame I used to enjoy his daughter translating.

When FrenchPhil 's Argo was made the only "splashes" that were being "built", were in South Africa due to Apartheid !!!

Got a buyer for 1, but good price. How's your boat going? I think you txt'd me the other day, a bit rude but I've been really busy.
