intention was to never slate phantoms ( i love em)
or compare lesiure version e26 diesel to p21(etc) race boats (that's dumb)
but in my experience (and i repeat) driving maelstrom and redmist in any chop above force 3 and I'm taking in the real sea, not the solent... we were never beaten by any phantom or fast rib of less than 23ft.....
a friend had a black p25 225hp (again i repeat) and we ran faster than that in the rough, it whipped us in calm at 75mph, to highlight my point the 2 girls in the p25 had to hop into maelstrom as they hated the hard ride in the p25 !
thats it really, thats all i wanted to point out..

Errrr.....
I know it's been tried before but I reckon to find the moulds to "Warlord" would be perfect, you'd have at least 2 others in the que. JF, me and few others as well I'm sure.
Need to define "Fast" as there are a lot of boats out there it's only when you move beyond a certain speed it thins out quite rapidly.
Warlord Where are you ?????

Difficult one this,
Fast in a small boat ie zap cat 45 mph seems fast.
45 mph in a p28 =slow
so fast is all relative to the size

interesting thread !
with the exception of the phantom 28 , and speaking with quite a large lump of very up to date experience , i dont know of another boat that can be as quick , stable , cheap to run , awsome to drive and all round great fun as my Extreme 26 with its yanmar oil burner.
A truely fantastic boat.
mine is the one in the foreground !!

Well
it says on my GPS that the fastest recorded speed was 66mph ,
although a 55 - 62mph area would be more realistic , i am sure
the admiral will have something to say on this matter !
Mine , as far as i know is the only 26 to have been fitted with duo props and has awsome acceleration , much quicker than CD old 26 when racing along side.
