First time out

first time out with here,
tuck a longer time then expected to get here ready for the first try.
actually the plan was July, but now its September and the summer is almost gone.

what a feeling ,its like Xmas's for me !!
after the first short running test in the driveway ,the engine fired up on the first turn of starter and that's all after a year of storage.

on the river, the primer ball did not fill up first time because the ramp is so angled that the centered fuel pic up in the tank did not reach the 5 gallon of fuel, after additional 5 gallons it was fine and the merc got the first rev's.

The first out was awesome, the 23' mirage has a very good holeshot and at full up trim at wide open ,he lifts the bow real nice to gain some top speed and a nice rooster tail.

i forgot to take my garmin gps ,but it feels like 65 to 70 or little more.
the gages are all gone include the tach , just the mechanical water pressure was reading.
the engine sounded like around 6000rpm for me ,but i can be wrong .
without a trim indicator its real hard to get the right feeling at what point is the trim.I have to fix all that.

i got little chine walk at full throttle, but it was fine and good to handel, hope it will be gone with solid motor mounts and more steering feel.

the phantom 600 is a real stable hull and a pleasure to ride.
Michael

some vids of the first run
