Fuel Consumption on Bridgeport

Hi,

Anyone tell me what the fuel consumption is like on a Merc 2.4 Bridgeport? Also what is the BHP and would a 1989 model be OK? Or should I avoid?

Also ... what is the difference between the Ring 21 C & D etc..?

Thanks.

Got a load of piccys from the seller, looks alright, but is an 89 hull and motor (apparently) .. problem is it's up North like .. Long way to go for a peek ! .. His new ad on B&O shows a better angle, looks nice .. not 100% on the colour scheme tho? Wreckons the motor is sound and 250 BHP.

Aye !! Yep .. need that storage space !!

Noticed on all Ring 21's that I've seen so far that have trim tabs, that they are mounted paralell to the ground (if you know what I mean), as opposed to at the angle of the hull. Is that OK?

There are two schools of thought & have been discussed on the forium here before. My choice is in line with the hull, rather than flat. "Ya pay ya money ya makes ya choice", have a look on "Offshore Only" at the Cig's, apache & checkmates as to how they mount them. (Inline with hull, very few are flat)
EDIT: "forium" Boy have I got keyboard dyslexia

EFI bridgeports are 245bhp, Carb ones are 225 BHP but really they're 245 too. No one would have bought the more expensive EFI motor if they'd rated the carb motor at its true HP. EFI is more punch low down though.
