I don't really fancy the idea of keeping the single cable on mine to be honest.
Given that I can get the twin cable set up for half the price of hydraulic I may well go for that. Mainly for safety reasons.
I know that the previous owners of my boat have used the standard single-cable system for the last ten years, but knowing my luck it'd crap out on me. Rather avoid it before it happens. Especially with a big engine.
