Ghost Rider

Hi all,
My brother and I are building a 20 ft phantom to start some rallying. We are new to the game and are likely to call the boat "Ghost Rider". I saw from another thread that in the '60's there was an American classic boat called Ghost Rider that was successful in races. I was wondering if anyone here could post some pictures of this boat? We'd really like to see what we have to live up to with such an illustrious name.
Thanks, Ed

Nice shot of the boat prop walking during a race.

Barry had the boat in storage for many years and finally decided on a restoration. The boat is now done and plan to have it in Europe this summer.

June will be the Around Ireland Race. July will be Goodwood Festival of Speed and last but not least by any means, is the 50th running of Cowes in August.

We will be bringing three boats from our historic club here in the States...HORBA.

Excellent, thanks all. Well, we are hoping to be on the water in time for the cowes torquay and will hang around torquay to watch the boats come in. Maybe a meeting of old and new Ghost Riders will ensue...

Splashing ain`t new,as Aoki shows.

Ghost Rider approaches Torbay in the lead and probably on route to Berry Head! Photo taken by Morse Control rep who was down in the area having done his reps job at Vosper for Flying Fish.

Another interesting note on that Barcone. Barry Cohen who has owned Ghost Rider for the last 40 plus years, was the owner of Barcone Marine that made this Benihana boat.

The General Manager of the Barcone company, which was based in Florida, was none other than Bill Sirois. He was a Kiekhaefer team driver in the 60's and later in his career, he was the main man and throttleman behind the famous string of Popeye's boats for Al Copeland.
