Just received 2 sets of gold piston rings from John Marles off s+f, even with Mr Browns slice both sets cost less than buying 1 set over here. Dont you just love rip off britain.

Try Norway For example Cyco's Pro Trim Unit: cost 20 quid more in Norway without the freight cost and the stainless steal case

I managed to buy a new race trim pump for less than you pay S/H hear + post and import duty paid £340.....also a 260 a36 didgy ecu with 5 hours use, $329/168 quid! + a new efi a49 box for $985/£500! hear you pay£100, when I paid less than 1200 for the lot,inc duty

But Norweigan Boater!.....Every thing costs a fortune in Norway mate.

I lived in Haugusand/Vindafjord on the south west coast for years, where as you no a half liter of larger's around 63 krones/ £6,00 ,thats just under a pint in british!, and forget a bottle of johnny walker's For around £90 a throw

Though I do miss Norway, (a wonderfull country) specialy the birds

Yeah I know! The taxes are a horrible c*** 63NOK/6£ for a 0.5L is almost cheap! Some places you have to pay 75NOK/7£ and even more Maybe I misunderstood your thread Triple Niple, because I thought you ment that you got something cheaper in Us than in GB with the freight cost + +!? What I ment was that maybe GB has horrible prices&taxes, but try I Norway and you have so you know how worse it is Im buying a new engine tomorrow from Sweden, it saves me almost 3000quid from buying it in Norway!!

BTW could you explain me what so special about the gold piston rings? Is it for compression or is it for the friction against the cylinder walls or is it neither?

PS; Norway is in deed a beautiful country, but GB aint much worse!! Next time you're in the country I will buy you an expensive beer that is not even a pint and we can talk about who is worse off;p

Though your best off asking some other cats on this site, like the chap who blesses America? I have got them in me 260, and no they are made to last, as long as the motor dosent pop before hand!

Im actualy going to Norway in july, first to Bergen,then on to stavanger where I spent alot of my time on oil/gas rigs working for statoil. Its a pitty your on the other side of the country mate, but when I go, Im taking my own!

God Its been some time since Iv heard that name, but then I have been back over hear nearly five years, nearly went over last year for the 17th of May celibration's,

(but didn't want to risk the chance of alcoholic poisoning:brown):

Still looking forwads to going back and meating up with old freinds.

As long as my ex is no where around mined?
