Hans Device

Just a thought, Why don't powerboat racers wear the Hans device during races?

In boats you need to move your head more than in a race car. Like a ralley car driver- they use it for track, dont like them in ralleys.

I used a Hans Device in Rallying last season and its a pain in the neck (no pun intended), the basic problem is you cant turn your head sideways when sliding around a corner so got rid of it to a friend who down track racing, would have thought it would have been useless in a boat. Only thing its good for is stopping this

Agreed - not suitable for a boat on any level!
