Before Steve Stamper had it, and I suspect when Nigel is talking about, it belonged to Tony Donald ('Donziman' on this forum), he raced the ex 'Ambassador Communications' Revenger 25, 'Team Tanglefoot'

Which year was that then? I thought that I knew most of the Revenger racers having raced one myself, obviously I don't. Ground breaking cruiser in it's time, hull was designed by Lorne Campbell I think and moulded by Roger Dobson initially in Guildford, bless him. It had a tendency to tip over on it's side if you turned hard on a buoy. I used to drop a tab a tad before doing so otherwise it was little startling if you weren't ready for it. Colin Stewart had the first one, Lady Arran the second and mine was the third. 1983 was the year. And of course both of them went on to do the RB race the next year.

Not sure about that I was told by Lorne Cambell eeeeyons ago when I was at his office that it was a Don Shed design, that he modified for the same reason's that you just stated, but after the cruiser style boats

You took the words right out of my mouth (It must have been when you were kissing me)
I thought it was all the later 'Revenger' built boats, as apposed to the Plancraft built boats. could be wrong on that one though.

Youre quite right, he did modify Shead's design, I was just trying to be brief rather than my usual boring self. Should know better by now. He made them at the Plancraft works for a while then had them moulded down near the Hamble somewhere near Tony D.
