'hidden' fender/cleat solutions - any ideas?
I'm going to need somewhere to mount fenders and tie ropes to my new boat, but I don't want anything that knackers up the smooth look! Any smart solutions out there or pics of ideas? I can get away with the fairlead on the towing eye to tie the bow up, mounting something on the stern is going to be a bit of a bugger though as the deck is crazy thin and I'll be running a hinged infill/wing thing behind the seats. I know it's never going to be the most practical boat in the world but it would be nice to be able to have a few beers in Herm or Sark without having to worry about it the whole time!

These ones are probably far too small, but maybe something along these lines...

You might be onto something there Mr T!
Right, new question, where can I buy some hardcore but removable plunger/sucker things to splice fender ropes onto?
Not sure I'd trust them to tie up with though!!

I've got a pair of these, can't pull them off my car without releasing them and they should be quite durable in the harsh conditions (sea water/sun). Not exactly cheap though.

I'll get one and see what they're like, if they're any good I'll buy some more! Found some sweet black fenders nice and cheap too

Cheers, but I really don't want to drill any holes anywhere visible... Might have to go with some eyelets in the engine well and snap shackles maybe, although getting to them would be a bugger!
