We were at the back with broken engine mounts and saddle, did more than 70% but almost made a statistic as it steered on its own violently from the transome.............. reliability was crap with the engines we were loaned!

Sorry to hear your troubles. No broken bonesI trust !
I was staggered by how a couple of boats were shown almost glued on their sides until the power was pulled off and then they righted themselves. Looked scarey ! Are the Cougars particularly prone to this ?
PS - Is that an image of your navigator. I could see how keeping it straight and level could be a problem.

With the high c of g they can pendulum and if the rails are out and don t grip they sit on the side for what seems like an eternity.
In anything but clean water they can be unpredictable, hence most let off to settle the rails back in.
The extreme is a reverse turn (tends to spit the nav out of the seat)
I heared that these aspects to the handling have been addressed but left so it leaves an element of judgement in the driving - the 150's on the other hand can be tugged every which way but just wont turn over.
