Hooking
I have recently purchased a ring 20 with 200hp Mariner so i thought i would have a read of some of the old threads regarding Rings, i came across 1 thread involving the age old argument about Rings V's Phantoms (not intending to open that can of worms) Anyway the subject of Hooking came up. Not wanting to sound a complete numpty, i understand Hooking is not very desirable at speed when turning. Im guessing it could be when a boat leans to one side when turning then flips over onto its other side, or the arse end flips out spinning the boat back in the direction it came from? I maybe wrong on both counts so i await the more knowladable ones to bring me up to speed.

Sometime's caused by engine being too high, especially with a stern lifting prop.
But also a hook can follow a stuff/trip.
Other factors that may contribute at trying a too tight turn and the front digging in.
Good luck and dont hook.

In the heat of the race he probably thought he was still in the boat seeing as his kill cord hadn't gone off! Can't imagine he'd knowingly just drive off!

Although that wasn't really a hook, more of a (3 way) trip and stuff that hooked a little underwater.
