hot foot

can someone please post a photo of a hot foot i have been trying to sort mine out. when i got it the spring was missing and every spring i have tryed doesnt seem to give the travel and return i think i mite be trying to put it in wrong i cant see it but you never no

tryed that if i have it slack for the cable to open full i dont get the return if i have it tight the pedle will not go all the way down. the hot foot is for a chrysler but i have a merc i thought they would be a easy modification
