Raker 24, but could only just hang onto it. Would not attempt to race with it cos I would probably end up very wet!!

69/70, we may have got a little more if we had persevered but as I said it was a real handful and I had already put the fear of God into my neigbour who had volunteered to come out testing with me. He has not been out since and should be off the medication shortly!
I am sure that with all the "bling" fixed to a P21, 70 would be achievable with a standard XR2 but I am chasing a championship. 70 would still be well off the pace of my opposition,so the only chance I have got is when it lumps enough to slow the B23`s and for that I need the best handling I can get and a reasonable turn of speed.

Not that it is much of a comparison, but we run a Tempest as well - it's a 23 slightly altered and thinned and we're running a 1.75:1 box and an XS200 and getting 73 in race trim - I reckon if we take out the bow tank and put a Raker on and it's flat we'll pull high seventies .......... maybe! But that wouldn't be raceable - just for a speed record!
