Hydraulic Rams

Hi all, went to the Hamble boat jumble today and picked up the hydraulic rams below anyone know what they are for? Im like a Magpie just collect anything shiny. My aim was to use them as steering rams and connect them to a helm unit, does anyone know if this will work????

they look like they for inboard rather than outboard dude, what stroke length are they?

The stroke is 95mm stop to stop. Could they be used?
