Hi

I'm french and i'm new member on this forum, so i present me.

I love ski racing and i've been racing in 1999 to 2001 on a pyrhana with 115 and then a ring 18 with 2.4 bridgeport from nico(belgium) with a cleaver prop, a little bomb, but a little over powered.

There were a few ski races at this time in France, ring 21 bernico 21 and mostes were the most present baots on the championship, but now there are only 4 or 5 offshore races like ocr in your country.

So no more ski racing in France at this time.

So in 2007, i decided to make a pleasure boat, i bought a 1996 Bernico 19s hull in Belgium and then restore it, litlle work: paint job, and rigging,
I bought a 150 evinrude XL, transform it into 20 inch and put it on
I sold the boat in 2008, the new owner is very pleased with it
I had no time to go on water because of to much work...Not enaugh time...

Now i plan to have a boat to race in offshore racing in France, and peharps in ski racing if races come back...
Not sure to be ready for 2010, I must find an engine the hull will be easier to find.

I know EAME have targeted France in the past two years to try and get them racing again and last year the second Eguzon European race had three or four genuine French entries. Their next target is Italy.
The provisional date for the 2010 race is 15 August and it's not too far from you. http://www.club-nautique-eguzon.com/index.php
The last time we raced in the South of France near you was for the European Championships at Valras Plage. It was a great venue and it's a shame we were never invited back. There must be loads of places to host a race around Port Camargue.
I've raced against Piranhas in F3 in the Belgium Diamond Race and they were extremely fast on the first straight but left almost no wake for the skier. The last time I saw one it was being used as a flower pot at the ski club in Viersel!

Hi gar163y,

I knew about Eguzon race, nice place to race i think, but in the past there was a french ski racing chanpionship which needed less budget than European championship.

Port Camargue would be a great place for a ski race...Peharps one day...

I' ve seen those type of specials flower pots in Belgium a few years ago...My old Piranha was near to be one before i raced it in 1999.
