Thank you, much of the quality is down to Andy and his HD camera, and the stability of the 'mounted' on-board set up we use.
It's a British built Phantom.
Steve Baker founded Phantom boats in 1969 in the SE of England and built many championship wining boats (up to 31 foot) untill 2000 when he retired. IRO 1000 boats total)
His smaller single and twin OB boats dominated UIM class III here for many years, and a current single OB class here ('OCR' Ofshore Circuit Racing) is still dominated by his 18' and 19' foot models, with the V6 2 litre discipline national championship being won on 11 consecutive years by Steves products .
An example of the smaller competition OCR boats racing can be seen in this clip of forum member 'Old Beardy' (Ian Stirling) racing his Phantom 18 In Gibralter a few years back:

Here's a pic from the 70's of a Phantom 26, UIM class III 4 litre
And here's an old pic from the mid 80's of a Phantom 25, UIM class III 4 litre
Mine was the last 28 he built, and I'm extremely proud to own it, and to be able to call Steve a friend. He was a major part of British powerboating, which is now very sadly in decline.
pics of it's build can be seen
Here
And Here
The motors are 6.5 litre GM diesels,and make around 490ft/lbs @2500rpm & 325 hp @3600rpm
I bought them as 'long blocks' from Peninsular and did all the marinizing myself, so the setup is slightly different the genuine Peninsular item, but they are fundementaly the same.
Mine is propped to over-rev slightly when 'flat out', as this reduces the turbo lag issues when getting on plane.
So it tops out at about 3950-4000rpm.
Bravo 1 drives @ 1.36:1 and slightly worked 30" Bravo1 four bladers (ballanced and re-pitched to 30-1/2")

you should mail me some pics of your comanche for the readers rides gallery!
