Jan to be a film star!!!!!

Taken from the P1 website.......

Powerboat P1 had a little bit of Hollywood magic sprinkled on it in the run-up to this weekend’s Tunisian Grand Prix of the Sea. Renowned British actor David Morrissey – star of acclaimed BBC dramas State Of Play and Blackpool – was in the paddock in Hammamet to film scenes for an upcoming television thriller about #47 Silverline Buzzi Bullet pilot Jan Falkowski.

The drama “U Be Dead” – which will be broadcast on British channel ITV later this year – centres on Falkowski’s alarming incident in 2002 and 2003, when he was threatened by an obsessed, infatuated stalker. The film crew were in Hammamet to get location shots of Morrissey in the Powerboat P1 paddock, as well as high-speed action shots of the #47 Silverline Buzzi Bullet SuperSport entry and other boats in action.

Central to the filming was a mock podium ceremony, in which Morrissey got a taste of Falkowski’s racing success by spraying the victory champagne. As with any good post-race reaction quotes, we caught up with the Hollywood star as he stepped off the top step.

Blimey!

Now I wouldn't have necessarily put David Morrissey in mind to play Jan Falkowski but there you go. Interesting that they are making a movie about Jan's ordeal. I'm assuming that he's getting something out of it as lord knows he deserves to.

More about the film here: http://www.itv.com/Drama/contemporar...d/default.html

Neil Morrisey more like

Actually James Nesbitt would be much better - he's a dead ringer for Jan!

< Edit: As already pointed out ages ago by Tricky . . >
