Kid's class pilot in hospital
Mike Wills, who races a 19 Phantom in the kiddies class had a bit of an accident yesterday in Studland Bay whilst jet skiing, and had to be airlifted to hospital.
Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, will post more when I hear.

And what benefit of noting 'kids class' in this????
We know the details as have spoken to his wife today and would not have thought this type of thread would not be doing any favours.
and for information 'kiddies class' or KClass as it was known ceased to exsist in 2007, keep up.......

Are you that sad that you get your kicks posting about an un-related to powerboat racing incident?
The man races and adults boat in an adults class that is thrithing. The whole post stinks of jealousy....it's not the RYA that's killing the sport it's bitter sad old gits like you that are. Kids class indeed - grow up and get with the times!

Ummmmn - I dont get it? If the class does not exist anymore, why be angry? If the guy is 40 he is hardly a kiddy, so why say he is a kiddy class racer?

K class is what it used to be called. A lot of people still refere to it as that. The crump's marketing with the name obviously made an impact.

can't imagine TD would have wanted this thread to spiral so out of control, guess all involved should take check of what can happen to a post gone wrong, and the thread should be deleted as not to cause further friction within this sport by sending out the wrong message should they consider entering
Just my thoughts

I don't think tony meant anything by it other than a news bulletin about a fellow racer.

My point exactly, so why is the thread titled Kids class pilot in hospital? UKForc have grown and introduced adult classes that are thrithing but some people in the sport see this as a threat (who knows why, surely any racing is good racing) but the very nature of the title discredits all the hard work that goes into the club as it is now. No, don't delete the thread, just have a bit more respect from a fellow club with a racer who's had an unfortunate accident.

The simple fact is that I know the class as that, I don't follow your class(es) of racing, so to me it is, and will always be K Class, just as 3C is 2 litre to me.

I used the phrase "kids class pilot" in the title of the post, just to let the majority of people on here know that it was a fellow racer. I could have just said "jet skier", but I imagine that it wouldn't have been of much interest to most people.
As for jealousy, why'd you think that? I've done my share of racing, and I'm not into jet skiing, so what have i got to be jealous of????
You may well be correct about the old git, but anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm not sad, quite a happy bloke really.

As explained earlier, it's allways gonna be "kids class" to me, especially when the majority of racers are kids.

Kids, sorry Children, swim and snorkel arround the bay and why shoudnt they ? Its, a very small portion of the sea set aside for peace, quiet and the safety of the people using it.
And before you think im not into noise, jet skis and powerboats, i very much am, but in the right place.
